Our beloved Bello passed away in his sleep on February 6, 2007, six days shy of turning eight months old. My daughters have written these notes for him:

Bello
In memory of the best dog, Bello.
Your coat was brown and fuzzy,
your tail was flat and fluffy.
Running around in the sun,
you seemed to be having fun.
But when February 6 came around,
Everyone had a frown.
You couldn't see what was going on,
only because you were gone.
Bello I miss you so,
Why did you have to go?

Bello remember I love you so-so much since
the first time I saw you at the airport. I love
you so so much, sorry if I ever did something wrong.
Remember I love you Bello and nothing will stop me
from loving your cute face. I miss you, I wish you can
come back to live with me. My heart is broken not seeing
you. I love you Bello. You were such a good boy
and I have so many memories about you. One is
that you loved me so so much, two is that I would
always chase you and you would chase me too. Why
did you have to pass away so quickly? When you kissed
me it was like you added another heart to my heart. You
are the best dog on earth, I will never forget you. I
hope you have a good time with your friends up there
with God. You will miss us I know and we will miss you.
Please do not forget me, Bello. My heart is
broken not seeing you.

RAINBOW BRIDGE.....
'There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head and the fluffy coat, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.'

Bello is growing by leaps and bounds. He is so smart and is the sweetest dog. He loves people and other dogs. His favorite past time is to nap but when his girls and mommy are ready to have some fun, he will not be left behind. He loves to take long walks and prefers it when his girls ride their bikes or scooters so he can run behind them and try and nip their b***! HAA HAA, it is so funny and so much fun.

Bello graduates from Kindergarden

Bello and his buddy Charlie. Kindergarden was so much fun. Bello and Charlie and the others learned how to sit, down, sit stay, down stay, walk loose lead, take it, drop it, and leave it.

Bello gets tired after class and needs his nap.

Bello was invited to a Birthday party for Wiggles. Wiggles, a Yorkshire Terrier, turned two years old. Lots of dog friends were invited and Bello was able to socialize with many new friends. It was great fun for all.

Bello is 3 1/2 months old. He has started puppy kindergarten classes and is a very mello fello. His classes begin at 11:00 a.m. each Friday right smack in the middle of his afternoon nap, sometimes he dozes off during the "boring" parts. Nothing really phases him.

He loves to take walks around the neighborhood, but only when the sun is down because he is not too fond of heat. When we depart our house he is very well mannered and heels very nicely next to me. Even though I take a different path every day, he always seems to know when we are on our way home because he leads full speed ahead.

He loves to play with his water and crunch on ice cubes. This weekend he took a dip in the pool but was not too happy about it. In fact, he hates baths! My daughters are amazed that a dog that loves to play with his water bowl, dip his big paws in it, and tip it all over himself, hates to be given a bath.

Bello's only problem is that he loves to nip at all of us. Well, he is a Shiloh Shepherd. We all have marks from his nips and are working to direct him to bite his toys. So far, it is much more fun to bite us!

Hello, welcome to Bello's Blog Page. Bello is a Brown Sable Plush Shiloh Shepherd and will be exclusively registered with the International Shiloh Shepherd Registry ("ISSR"). He was born at Smoke N Ember Shilohs, an ISSR Breeder, on June 12, 2006. He arrived home on August 25, 2006, via Cargo.

His full name is BELENUS BREOGAN SMOKE N EMBER. Bello lives in Miami, Florida with his family which consists of his human mom, his human dad, his two best friends, Gabriela and Isabella, and two cats, Popcorn and Mojo. He is settling in nicely and he loves his family very much.

His dog parents are really great and he has a pretty impressive pedigree. Just take a look at Smoke N Ember Shilohs, ISSR Breeder. When he was born he was known as Grey Feathers. Just take a look at the link to Smoke N Ember Shilohs and you will see many pictures of him with his litter mates as well as his impressive parents. Bello is not going to breed, he is just going to love his family very much! One day he would like to become a Therapy Dog and visit the children at Miami Children's Hospital. He is well on his way because he LOVES children.
